Timebox

FAQ

How is Timebox different from a regular to-do list?

Timebox keeps the speed of a familiar list but lets you work with the same tasks in a spatial canvas. You can switch views without recreating your plan.

Do I have to use the spatial or 3D view?

No. You can work entirely in the flat list, use a flat canvas, or enable perspective when a spatial overview helps.

How customizable is the workspace?

Timebox lets you tailor the canvas to the way you think and plan:

  • Theme: Switch between light and dark mode.
  • Grid: Show or hide it, choose lines or dots, and set the size manually or automatically.
  • Snapping: Align tasks precisely and plan in full, half, or quarter steps.
  • Color: Use a default, inherited, or random color for new tasks.
  • Units: Scale tasks in hours or days, use manual sizing, or base size on the number of subtasks.
  • Smallest unit: Set the minimum planning block, such as a quarter day.
  • Perspective: Work in 3D or keep the canvas flat.
  • Timezone: Choose the timezone used for international collaboration.
Can I use Timebox on my own?

Yes. Timebox works for personal planning as well as shared projects. Collaboration is available when you need it.

How does task sharing work?

Invite someone by email and choose Read, Write, or Admin access. Shared task details stay synchronized while each collaborator can keep their own position in the task tree.

Does calendar integration provide two-way sync?

No. Timebox currently provides a one-way iCal feed that you can subscribe to from Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, and compatible calendar apps.

Can I try Timebox without creating an account?

Yes. Open the live Demo Playground to explore Timebox without signing up or entering payment details.

Where is my data hosted?

Timebox is GDPR compliant and hosts its data in the European Union.
